Essential information

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

We are open and able to offer help and support by phone or email. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, our actual centre is currently closed to all visitors. This applies to all activities that usually take place on our premises or in any person-to-person environment.

We are still here for you. If you need our vital support during this difficult time, we are at the end of the phone, so please ring us or email. Call us on 01582 416783 or email [email protected].

Bereavement support

We know that many people will be trying to deal with a bereavement due to COVID-19 and we extend our condolences to anyone going through this. There is lots of support available locally and nationally, both for people facing a bereavement personally and for professionals who may be supporting them.

Normal opening times

Luton All Women’s Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

  • Drop-in – 9.30am – 12.00noon (for women to self-refer or to telephone the centre)

Facilities

Our centre is designed with the needs of women in mind. Facilities include:

  • A welcoming reception/ waiting area with refreshments
  • Private counselling rooms
  • Sewing/craft room
  • Multi-use rooms (for group sessions, exercise classes etc.)
  • Computer/IT area (soon to be redeveloped)

Accessibility

Our aim is to ensure the centre’s services and activities can be accessed by every woman who needs us. Collectively the team at LAWC are representative of the town’s diverse ethnic mix, speak 6 languages between them and are trained to deal with cultural, disability and LGBT issues.

Unfortunately, LAWC’s current premises do not have full wheelchair/disabled access; this is something we will seek to rectify if/when considering new premises. However, if a client is not able to access the centre, we are able to see clients at another accessible venue in the town. Please contact us if you have particular access needs.
